As Chairperson, I take immense pride in emphasizing that Biotechnology is a transformative discipline, focused on uncovering fundamental biological mechanisms and translating them into innovations that promote sustainable living. The department offers BS in Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Medical Laboratory Technology along with MS and PhD in Biotechnology. All these programs are aligned with the broader scope of Biotechnology.

Both Microbiology and MLT play pivotal roles in the advancement of biotechnology. Microbiology forms the foundation for understanding microbial systems, which are central to biotechnological applications in health, agriculture, and environmental sciences. Similarly, Medical Laboratory Technology bridges laboratory diagnostics with molecular innovations, playing a crucial role in disease detection, monitoring, and public health areas that directly benefit from biotechnological tools and methods.

By integrating these disciplines, we aim to produce well-rounded graduates equipped with interdisciplinary expertise and real-world problem-solving abilities.
